Okay I like wearing mens pjs and own a pair of Blundstone, manly man, boots, but last time I looked I was a woman (okay just checked again and yep still no dangly bits hanging down there), and shock horror I blog! How bizarre, this woman is obviously hiding up her own arse making up more insightful generalisations. Not only are there pretty much as many male and female blogs, but the tone/theme is also not gender specific.

PS I have no idea who Glenn Beck is but I bow to your knowledge and agree, he's a complete tosser :)

I havent read this columnist before, at least not that I remember, am curious now to see what other brilliant things she has to say. She does seem to have her head up her ass. According the the Globe and Mail website this morning she is doing some on line coversation about her piece today as other people think she is pretty much a douchebag.

And is her writing a newspaper column with her ideas or rambling opinions really that different from having a blog? Especially when is published online? Except of course she is making moolah for her asinine ramblings, while my asinine ramblings are more of a hobby...

Oh yes. I am a woman who blogs and I agree with you. You are right and I am right and she is wrong. In fact, at least half the blogs I read are written by women. So... yeah, I don't know where on the Internet that journalist has been hanging out, but it's in all the wrong places.

i write because i like to share.
period.
as for women in the blogoshpere, i find there is no lack of them, be it personal blogs, technical, social and political or lifestyle blogs. they run the whole gamut. so, i don't know where that woman hangs out, but she's definitely not looking in the right places...

i would have rather focused on geography instead of gender. either my blogs have no appeal for people of various regions, but there are parts of this planet that remain a big blank.
if you consider the demographics and that certain parts have little population, that aside, one might wonder if they have access to the internet; if it is in their habits to blog [at all], or if there is censorship blocking their efforts. and where do they blog? there are many venues to do this.

in the meantime, i'll just keep doing my thing...

Does this woman even know how to get on the Internet?!? When I started blogging ( it has been a while ago, like as in years) there were so many woman bloggers out there! There still are, but back then at least for me, it was rare to find a man blogger. Now there are so many blogs written by men that I read ( this one), Michael Rivers for another, and Out Numbered ( which I found through @MaryMac)all wonderful in their own unique ways. Maybe it is a good thing that this chick ( I use chick because I think that she would HATE that word) is not a blogger because she would get ripped to shreds on a daily basis. At least by me anyway.
