I work for one of the larges cable companies on the planet. I get all the networks plus HBO, Showtime, Stars a bunch of others that I can't remember at the moment. One of the benefits is I pay next to nothing for the hundreds of channels. Then there is VOD which has hundreds adds hundreds of hours of free content, and then thousands more if you want to pay for new movies and such.

I spend more time looking for stuff to watch then actually watching stuff, yet still I want more, more MORE! But then I'm addicted to TV.

We have Direct TV, which is basic cable, and we can record shows & FF thru commercials. Nice but tiresome on the hand. Am enjoying the Peep Show and That Mitchell and Webb Look on BBC America. Looking forward to our next free 3 months of HBO & Showtime. "Looking forward" is putting it a little too strongly. I DO have a life [just not sure on what planet]. :-)

i have my top 20 i pay for plus the movie network, and basic cable selection comes with. that suffice my needs as far as tv goes. otherwise, among your 300 channels, you're bound to run into the same stuff over and over again. what's the point?
