I hear what you are saying, but it still bothers me. I'm sure Elton and his partner couldn't care what I or others think. There is no doubt Elton's record for raising awareness and funding for AIDS can not be refuted, but like I said - it bothers me.

I having trouble seeing how Elton John can reconcile this within himself. If he donates the money in a public way to a charity that supports gays and lesbians, then I think it's a great way to kind of "take the money and run" from Rush. If not, then I think he let down the gay community.

It just feels wrong. You can try and think of reasons why it may be okay but it still feels dirty however you look at it. Really the only good thing would be if the money went to support a gay charity, but still you'd think he'd feel like he needed to bathe for a week to get rid of all that ickiness.
